Tips for a Special Mother's Day Picnic At Home
Oh man, has mom earned something special this year, or what??!!
Why not treat her to a Mother’s Day Picnic al fresco and shower her with all your love!!
Here are some of my favorite tips to make your picnic special and I’ve even included some favorite gift ideas!
Add Flowers! Yeah, this is an obvious one, coming from me especially, but you can’t go wrong adding fresh flowers to your picnic. I also recommend adding a bloom to your gift wrapping! It’s such a nice touch and it instantly makes everything look better. Choose hearty flowers like roses (I love baby roses for small packages!), or thistle for a more boho vibe. Anything woody (wax flowers are a great option) will be a great choice. If you want to go really big, a protea is a showstopper!
Write Mom a Note! Taking time to write just how you feel is so special AND it never gets old. Seriously, tell her again how very much you love and cherish her and oh yeah, owe your life to her… ;) Having trouble, getting started, here’s a few thoughtful ideas.
Now for some gift ideas! If you do those two things I mentioned above, you’re ahead of the game! Want some brownie points?? Check out these lovely gifts that I personally love.
You’re Mom: A Little Book for Mothers and The People Who Love Them I recently received this picture/comic book as a gift and I laugh/cried all the way through, in fact, I read it twice (it’s a very quick read, like 15 minutes.) Highly recommend!
Anything from Hi Sweetheart Boutique in La Jolla. Seriously, I love this store so much. You can shop online and they also have local delivery!
Order a Mother’s Day Pop Up Picnic Kit! C’mon, of course I saved the best for last! We packed an adorable wicker picnic basket (decorated with fresh flowers!) with a very special floral-inspired charcuterie, Hibiscus Mocktail Kit from Good Time Cocktail Co and a Ginger June Candle Co candle from our fave, Hi Sweetheart Boutique!
