Based in San Diego, CA, Pop Up Picnic Co is the original luxury picnic company! Since 2012, we have specialized in unique, picnic-inspired dining experiences + micro-events throughout Southern California!

The Pop Up Picnic™ is a way to connect + relax amid amazing views, while enjoying locally sourced food, drinks and all the creature comforts that make a great picnic possible. We whole-heartedly believe San Diego is America's Finest City and we want to show you with the Pop Up Picnic Experience.  

HISTORY

The Pop Up Picnic™ concept was first created by founder, Lauren Kimmons, in 2012 as a way to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Coming from the wedding events industry, Lauren has always had a fondness for inspiring spaces and unique experiences. Pop Up Picnic has ridden a creative wave through several variations in the years since and thanks to a handful of loyal customers, we’ve entered a new phase with the relaunch as Pop Up Picnic Co.

Much of the inspiration for Pop Up Picnic comes from the city of San Diego itself. It's natural beauty, temperate climate and varied geography inspire people to explore and get lost (without the hassle of leaving the city.) This idea of exploring is essential to what make Pop Up Picnic so great: we encourage exploration in the world, in our lives, on our plates and always with a friend!
