Be Cool, Do Good Work + Pay It Forward
These are the 3 basic truths that define our culture at POP UP PICNIC CO.
We believe in being fun + kind, being leaders in our industry, always delivering the very best experience for our clients and fostering relationships with everyone we meet- inside our organization and out.
This job is hard: it takes grit, hard-work and great problem solving; not to mention stellar customer service skills and precise attention to detail. But it’s also really fun: we create memories and moments for our guests that help them to enjoy and experience their favorite people on a deeper level. We get to be creative and caring and bring positivity to our clients and the world. That said, this job is more than decorating; it’s packing, loading, hauling, cleaning + hustling. It’s creating unforgettable experiences that inspire our clients and everyone passing by. We make it look it easy because that’s what we’re selling: the luxury of not having to do a damn thing. But that means we, quite literally, do the heavy lifting.
We support our team members with thorough training, transparency + an open door to always talk. We have processes that guarantee (y)our success. There is also quite a bit of down-time in this job. We require extremely timely + efficient work in short bursts: loading + unloading the van and setting up/cleaning up picnics, followed by periods of rest: during picnics there’s time to get lunch, take a walk by the water or read a book- and you’re still on the clock.
At this job, we love hard work. We can’t go less than 100% if we tried. We also enjoy daily sunsets, lots of freedom and an ‘office’ that overlooks San Diego’s best views.
If these principles align with you, you love being active + outside and you’re more intrigued than afraid, read on, we would love to explore working together!
